The Special Assault Unit is a division of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) that deals with crimes related to sexual assault, child, and elderly abuse.

The Problem:
SAU came to me in search of a new emblem design for their division. The representatives explained the importance of the emblems to the divisions and the pride each officer associates to them.
SAU also expressed a greater need to recruit more women to their division and a general awareness outreach campaign to the greater Jacksonville area.
The Solution:
An emblemĀ that would attract more police officers to the unit. The lion emblem represents the bravery, and dedication the officers of the unit possessĀ for justice for the victims.
The emblem is accompanied by additional resources for witnesses and victims including a new service guide, and detailed business cards that would allow victims and witnesses to more effectively follow up on their cases.
JSO Victim/Witness Service Guide

Service guide is a resource for individuals who are victims or witnesses to a crime. We cleaned up the over all layout and typography of the guide so it is much easier to follow as well as introduced positive testimony to provide more empathy for victims and witnesses.

Added note taking sections on business cards so victims or witnesses can quickly reference their case details in the future.

Women Recruitment Campaign: "How can we help you?"

Utilizing a "cut-out" design for a more guerilla marketing approach.

Community Awareness Campaign

Campaign focused on bringing awareness to elderly and child abuse, and those who have been sexually abused.
